An Introduction

Television is considered as a device of delivering images and sounds. In this respect, television technology has reached to a "perfection". Media art using television would rely on such a "perfect" technology and would be satisfied with merely providing the "contents" to such a delivering device. However, it would be not an art. Art cannot remain the modernist "division of labor" of means and contents. As long as art shares the origin techne with technology, art should intervene into the technology itself. The artist must start with the process of making the technological system by him/herself. You could just set up the system after buying a ready-made set of television transmission and receiving. But if you dare to build a television transmitter by yourself, you will find a totally different vision of television and a new material of your art. The simplest transmitter is only a beginning.

LP-TV propone un canal de televisión por Internet donde se pueden ver creaciones audiovisuales alrededor del Festival de danza... o no realizadas por el colectivo Neokinok.tv. Varios colaboradores participan en la creación de contenidos y en la gestión de este canal, ofreciendo diferentes miradas sobre temas relacionados con los acontecimientos del festival. Se harán entrevistas, acciones e intervenciones para realizar una serie de clips o cápsulas cortas (de 3 a 10 minutos) que conformarán una muestra panorámica del festival y que quedarán recogidos en una mediabase y un DVD.

Esta televisión es la continuación del proyecto Horitzó TV, la difusión del cual se hace desde la red GISS, una plataforma de webcasting o streaming construida con software libre. La emisión se puede recibir en baja resolución, para quien acceda a Internet vía módem, o en alta resolución para conexiones ADSL o superiores. Se obtiene una mejor visualización del streaming utilizando un reproductor (mediaplayer), que incluye la opción de pantalla completa. Se recomienda el VLC de www.videolan.org/vlc.external link

LP-TV proposa un canal de televisió per Internet on es poden veure creacions audiovisuals al voltant del Festival de dansa... o no realitzades pel col·lectiu Neokinok.tv. Diversos col·laboradors participen en la creació de continguts i en la gestió d'aquest canal, oferint diferents mirades sobre temes relacionats amb els esdeveniments del festival. Es faran entrevistes, accions i intervencions per realitzar una sèrie de clips o càpsules curtes (de 3 a 10 minuts) que conformaran una mostra panoràmica del festival i que quedaran recollits en una mediabase i un DVD.
